Prof. Zhen Zhang

Zhengzhou University

Experience: Professor Zhang Zhen's main research and teaching experience: In 2008, he received his PhD from the Army Engineering University of China and was a visiting scholar at the University of Manchester in the UK, supported by the Ministry of Education. He has been engaged in scientific research and teaching work in multimedia information security, image processing and pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and big data for a long time. He holds several academic positions, including Deputy Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Collaborative Security Technology of Big Data, council member of the China Society of Image and Graphics, expert of the Engineering Intelligent Design Subcommittee of the China Survey and Design Association, evaluation expert for the Ministry of Education, evaluation expert for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in the industrial field, and Vice Chairman of the Henan Provincial Machinery Industry Standardization Technical Association.

Research achievements: He has published over 60 academic papers in international journals, conferences, and domestic core journals. Representative papers include "Improved SSD Algorithm and Its Application in Subway Security Inspection Images," "Improved YOLOv3 Algorithm and Video Surveillance Detection Method for Fusion of Human Information Data," and "Short-term Power Load Forecasting Based on VMD-LSTM-MLR." He has published 12 monographs, been granted 2 invention patents, and 2 utility model patents. He has received several awards including Outstanding Contribution to Smart Cities in China, Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Henan Province, First Prize for Medical and Health Technology Achievements in Henan Province, Academic and Technical Leader from the Henan Provincial Department of Education, and Innovative Leading Talent from the "Intelligent Gathering Zhengzhou·1125 Talent Plan".

He has led and completed multiple research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program project on "Public Safety Risk Prevention and Control and Emergency Technology Equipment," key technical research on "Management of Information Resource Directory and Standard Detection Platform for the Transportation Industry in Henan Province," a major public welfare project in Henan Province on "Comprehensive Application Demonstration of Regional Security Prevention and Control and Strike Technology," and important strategic planning projects for Zhengzhou's "14th Five-Year Plan" such as "Accelerating Innovation and Development by Implementing Foundation Laying and Shortening the Gap Strategy in Zhengzhou." He has also been responsible for drafting smart city construction plans and information construction plans at multiple provincial and municipal levels. His research outcomes have been fruitful and have contributed to the main battleground of scientific research serving social and economic development. The scientific project results are of great significance for improving the scientific and intelligent levels of regional security prevention and control, strike technology, video big data, and structured analysis technology, and have long-term strategic significance for promoting the construction of the public safety science and technology system in Henan Province.



Prof. Tianlei Ma

Zhengzhou University

Experience: Ma Tianlei, Professor and Master's Supervisor, obtained his PhD from the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. He began teaching and conducting research at the School of Electrical Engineering, Zhengzhou University in the same year. He is a selected participant in the Henan Provincial Association for Science and Technology’s Young Talent Support Program, a core member of the "Intelligent Optimization and Control of Modern Industrial Processes" innovative research team in Henan Province, and a key member of the Henan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Optimization and Intelligent Control Technology. He has received several awards, including the Henan Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, recognition in the Henan Provincial Educational System Teaching Skills Competition, the Zhengzhou University Teaching Achievement Award, and honors in the Young and Middle-aged Teacher Lecture Competition at Zhengzhou University.

He is also the Secretary of the Henan Provincial Automation Society and a committee member of the Intelligent Control Subcommittee of the Henan Provincial Lighting Society. Currently, he is leading several ongoing projects, including one National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund project, one project from the Henan Provincial Association for Science and Technology’s Young Talent Support Program, one key research project (Class A funding) from Henan Province's universities, one Henan Provincial Postdoctoral Research project (first-class funding), and one commissioned enterprise development project focusing on the optimization design of XX robots. His research areas include image processing and pattern recognition, multimodal optimization, weak signal detection, and intelligent control of robots.





Assoc. Prof. Bin Gou

Southwest Jiaotong University, China

Experience: Bin Gou received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2010 and 2016. From 2014 to 2015, he was a Visiting Student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA. From 2017 to 2020, he was a Research Fellow in the Rolls-Royce @ NTU Corporate Laboratory, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently a associate professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. His research interest includes data-analytics for fault diagnosis and health management of power drive and energy storage system.
